Petersburg Press was established in London in 1968, and New York in 1972, as a continuation of the collaborative publishing with artists initiated by Paul Cornwall-Jones on the founding of Editions Alecto (EA) in 1961 as a post-graduate at the architectural schools at Cambridge University.

The core activities have been in the publishing of limited edition prints and livres d’artiste, and have extended over the years into paintings, drawings, sculpture, collage, photography, film, books, catalogues, posters; and the organization of exhibitions for the artists over nearly fifty years.

For reference a selected chronology of the commingled publications and related activities will be documented
and added to our site in due course. Meanwhile a brief synopsis of publications is set out below.
